Overview
The union territory is part of the broader disputed Kashmir region and is sandwiched between the Karakoram mountain range to the north and the Himalayas to the south and is situated at the height of 11,400 ft.
Ladakh is composed of the Leh and Kargil districts. The region contains prominent Buddhist sites and has an ecotourism industry. As of 2020, tourism industry in Ladakh was worth ₹600 crore (US$84 million).
There are about 35 Buddhist monasteries along the banks of various rivers spread across the region which thrives on donations made by tourists and the local people of the region but now the government plans to develop these monasteries.

Day 1
Arrival At Srinagar - Pahalgam
Welcome to Srinagar the city of Lakes you will met over representative and get transferred to Pahalgam, the 'valley of shepherds' the approx distance of 100kms 3hrs drive; Pahalgam is situated at the confluence of the streams flowing from river Lidder and Sheeshnag lake.
Enroute visit the Awantipura ruins, an 1100 year old temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu and built by King Awantivarma.
Later on arrival check into hotel rest at leisure and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 2
Pahalgam Sightseeing
After breakfast, you will be proceed towards Baisaran and Waterfall (by your own expenses).
Also you will visit Betaab Valley, Chandanwari and Aru Valley (by hiring car on your own expenses). Later drive back to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 3
Pahalgam – Srinagar
After breakfast drive back towards Srinagar, On arrival check in to Houseboat, rest at leisure .
Later in the evening you will be proceed towards famous Mughal Gardens Nishat Garden, Shalimar Garden, Cheshma Shahi.
Later drive towards House boat for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4
Srinagar – Gulmarg – Srinagar
After breakfast drive towards Gulmarg know as meadows of flowers the distance of 56 KMs (2 hours) drive.
In Gulmarg you can visit local Gulmarg Sightseeings with Golf Course and can have Gondola Ride (by your own expenses). Later in the evening you will be proceed towards Srinagar for overnight stay.
Day 5
Srinagar – Kargil
After breakfast drive to Kargil, via Sonmarg, Zero Point, Zojila Pass, Drass, Kargil war memorial, and reach Kargil, check in Hotel, Dinner and overnight stay in Hotel.
Day 6
Kargil to Leh
After breakfast drive to Leh, via Lamayuru Monastery, Mulbekh, Zanskar Sangam, Magnetic Hill, Pather Sigh Sahib Gurdwara, check in Hotel, Dinner and overnight stay in Hotel.
Day 7
Leh - Nubra
After breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley ( Known as the Valley of Flowers and the warmest region in Ladakh ) via Khardungla pass. This road is considered to be the highest motorable road of the world. En route, admire the spectacular views of the never ending snow-capped mountain ranges around Khardungla Pass (18,380 feet).
After spending some time at Khardungla, proceed to Nubra. After Hotel check-in. Overnight stay in Nubra.
Day 8
Nubra - Pangong
After an early breakfast, proceed to Pangong. Pangong Lake is a salt water body of 120 km in length and 6 – 7 Km broad at the longest point. It is bisected by the international border between India & China (2/3 of the lake is in China’s possession).
Enjoy outing along the banks of the lake. One really feels very close to nature at Pangong Lake with its scenic surroundings. On a clear sunny day, you can see seven colour formations in the crystal clear salt water lake. Overnight stay in Pangong.
Day 9
Pangong - Leh
After breakfast, travel back to Leh. Enroute take a short halt at Changla Pass to enjoy a cup of hot steaming tea. Later drop at Leh Airport for your return journey.

Yes, no issue provided that there are physically fit and can endure weather conditions. Sometime children are not able to voice out the symptom of high altitude sickness and this create problem.
