Gangtok Sightseeing

You need to get up early, get fresh and have heavy breakfast till 7. 30am. We drive you to Tsomgo Lake Alt 12000ft/3600M, a high altitude alpine lake close to Indo-China Border. The 1 km long and 15m deep lake is considered sacred to the local people. The pure...  clear water remains frozen during winter. Enjoy playing in snow and Yak Ride. Proceed further to Legendary Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir “Hero of Nathula” An Indian soldiers who was awarded the Maha Vir Chakra medal for his bravery and known for doing his duty still after death. Back to Hotel for late Lunch. Optional tour to Nathula Pass Alt 14000Ft / 4200M on China Border can also be arranged Except Mon, Tue for Indian Nationals only with 30 Days Advance Request at an additional cost. Take some rest. What is the best time to visit North East India ?
the whole region is dominated by hills and mountains to a large extent. Due to this, the climate in North East India generally remains cool while winters do get extremely cold. It is advised that traveling to North East regions should be avoided in the rainy season from May to September-end. Hence, the best time to visit North East India is from the months of November to April.
Do I need any special permissions to visit the North East?
Assam, Meghalaya and Tripura do not need any permits to visit. Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur and Nagaland, however, require an ILP or Inner Line Permit to visit. While Sikkim does not require an Inner Line Pass to visit, there are certain areas that need an ILP: Menmecho Lake, Tsomgo Lake, Nathu La and Kupup in the east. Chopta, Chungthang, Lachung, Thangu, Yumesamdong, Yumthang Valley, Lachen and Gurudongmar Lake in the north.
Does it snow in the North East?
Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim are the two north east states that receive seasonal snowfall during winter.
How many days are required for a trip though the north east?
If you want to cover all the states in one trip, you will need around 15 days to cover the entire north east. But, if you’re looking to cover each state one by one, 5-7 days are enough for each state.
